Race for the Galaxy

Race for the Galaxy is not the easiest game to pick up. It features a simple action selection mechanic where everyone chooses their action simultaneously and all players reveal their chosen action which could result in not much happening per round or everything falling perfectly into place. But in order to line up your actions correctly you are going to have to learn the iconography in this space themed title.

Yes it may take a while and the pool of cards is not endless. However over time this game evolves to a chess-like mentality as you start to calculate what move will outpace your opponent as you tighten your control and options while not offering other players the same luxuries. This is a game we have played over 50 times and the end does not seem to be on the horizon anytime soon. I would highly recommend Race for the Galaxy to just about any player.
